Clean Rug Fair Haven

9 Steps Area Rug Cleaning Fair Haven NJ 07704

Step 1: Pre-Inspection and Pick Up in Fair Haven
We will determine as much as we possibly can about the type of rug and inherent characteristics that could affect cleaning. We will define the anticipated results and cleaning “prescription”. Our team will come in to your house to pick up your area rug.

Step 2: Dry Soil Removal – Dusting
Woven rugs, particularly hand knotted rugs, are made to conceal dry soil. A few years back, the Eureka company was responsible for a report and discovered that a 9 x 12 could obscure 87 pounds of dirt! WOW! We use a variety of techniques to “dust” the rugs from the front and back. A piece of equipment known as a pile lifter, special vacuum attachments, and many other techniques are executed. This is the most important in cleaning any fabric. We have three types of dusting equipment. 1. Tumbling, 2.Beater, which beats on the back of the rug, 3. Hand made beater.

Step 3: Pre-Condition
Preconditioning is used to break down traffic area soil and common spots and to prepare your rug for best soil removal. First Class Rug Cleaning uses SPECIAL cleaning products. These products do not have fragrances, VOC’s, chemicals, phosphates, or any hazardous products. They are biodegradable and environmentally safe. The pre-conditioner can also be deep cleaned into the face pile.

Step 4: Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation
Any spots and fringe will be pre-treated with special solutions to increase chances of removal. Cotton backing and fringe contains natural lignin dye in it. This brown dye may bleed out in the rug cleaning and drying procedure. The fringe is also pre-treated for maximum soil removal.

Step 5: Soaking, Rinse or Wash
Soaking is one of the most important procedures a rug may undergo. By soaking the oriental rug, we can eliminate dirt, pet stains, and liquid spills. Dependant on the kind of oriental rug, it will be rinsed by means of removal equipment on both sides or washed in a wash pit designed for Oriental Rugs.

Step 6: Shampoo
Most rugs are cleaned with an Oriental Rug Shampoo which is especially designed for getting optimum cleansing. This method is done after washing and rinsing the area rug. It makes the design sharper and takes out the loose wool from the rug.

Step 7: Speed Dry
When the soil is rinsed away, the carpet is dried flat or hung to dry in a controlled environment. Effective drying is crucial to refrain from unnatural shrinkage.

Step 8: Finishing
When the oriental rug is dry, it will be combed and finished with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.

Step 9: Post Inspection and Delivery
Our cleaning specialist will give the area rug a last inspection and release it for delivery. Your rug will be covered with brown craft paper to shield it from dust and environmental soils until it can be delivered. Upon delivery, we’ll position the rug for you.[wc_divider style=”solid” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

Fair Haven Area Rugs Cleaning Tips

How to maintain your Oriental Rug

[wc_box color=”inverse” text_align=”left”] Rotation – To insure even wear, your rug should be rotated annually. Based on the traffic, the rotation may vary from six months to two years.
Vacuuming – Oriental rugs, like most carpeting, should be vacuumed regularly to eliminate dirt and restore life to the fibers. Be certain to not vacuum the fringe using your beater bar! Utilize the end of a vacuum hose from a canister vacuum.
Padding – A high quality pad used beneath your rug helps protect it from dirt, wear, and slippage.
Spot and Spill Procedures – Make sure that you safely and right away clean up spots and spills well before they set.
1. First, soak up the excess liquid by blotting with a clean absorbent material. Do not brush or rub the stain.
2. Then spot-clean using a mild detergent-white vinegar-water solution. Never over saturate.
3. Rinse area thoroughly with water and a tiny amount of vinegar. Try to avoid wetting the rug’s backing.
4. Blot dry until most of the moisture has been absorbed.
5. Let it air dry. A fan or cool hair dryer can be used to hasten the drying process.
For stains that don’t come out with these methods, please contact us.[/wc_box]

Learn about Fair Haven, New Jersey:

Fair Haven is a wealthy borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, along the Navesink River and is part of the New York Metropolitan Area. Fair Haven is located on the Rumson peninsula and is bordered by Red Bank and Little Silver to the west. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough’s population was 6,121, reflecting an increase of 184 (+3.1%) from the 5,937 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 667 (+12.7%) from the 5,270 counted in the 1990 Census.

Fair Haven was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 28, 1912, from portions of Shrewsbury Township, subject to the results of a referendum held on April 23, 1912. Portions of the borough were exchanged with Red Bank on June 17, 1957.

Fair Haven’s first permanent settlement dates to a structure built in 1816 at the Navesink River near today’s Fair Haven Road. By the mid-19th century, steamboats stopped at “Chandler’s Dock” on a route between Red Bank and New York City, bringing visitors to the area and local oysters to the city. Fisk Chapel was rebuilt in 1882 to accommodate the borough’s African American population.

Fair Haven has an annual Fireman’s Fair during the last weekend of summer including Labor Day weekend which attracts a couple of thousand people, including noted musicians Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi. The Fair Haven Fireman’s Fair also has a Fireman’s night and invites all firefighters from any other firehouse to come and join in the festivities. The Fireman’s Fair used to raffle off a car each year, but most attendees already had their own cars and the decision was made in the 1990s to switch to a 50/50 raffle whose prize can be in the tens of thousands of dollars. The fair is on the Fire Company grounds.
