Area rugs are generally walked on, and they will get quite soiled over the years of use. There is no harm in that – rugs are supposed to be used. As the area rug begins to get soiled or unappealing, the eyes of guests and visitors will in all probability end up concentrating on the griminess of the rug as opposed to the overall elegance and aesthetic characteristics of the room as a whole. We replace it with a brand new glue and backing that’s green. For Tufted rugs we offer a exterior wash using a steam machine, 600 PSI of injecting steam within the fabric then vacuuming it. We then utilize a high PH cleaning agent.

Step 2: Dry Soil Removal – Dusting
Woven rugs, especially hand knotted rugs, are made to hide dry soil. Some years ago, the Eureka company was responsible for a report and discovered that a 9 x 12 could obscure 87 pounds of dirt! WOW! We utilize a variety of techniques to “dust” the rugs from the front and back. A machine called a pile lifter, special vacuum attachments, and many other methods are implemented. This is actually most important step in cleansing any textile. We have three kinds of dusting equipment. 1. Tumbling, 2.Beater, which beats on the back of the rug, 3. Hand made beater.
Step 3: Pre-Condition
Preconditioning is applied to break down traffic area soil and general areas and to ready your oriental rug for maximum soil elimination. First Class Rug Cleaning uses SPECIAL cleaning products. These products don’t have fragrances, VOC’s, chemicals, phosphates, or any dangerous products. They are green and environmentally secure. The pre-conditioner is usually deep cleaned into the face pile.
Step 4: Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation
Any spots and fringe will be pre-treated by way of unique solutions to increase chances of abstraction. Cotton backing and fringe contains natural lignin dye in it. This brown dye can bleed out in the rug cleaning and drying procedure. The fringe is also pre-treated for maximum soil elimination.
Step 5: Soaking, Rinse or Wash
Soaking is among the most important processes a rug can go through. By immersing the oriental rug, we can remove dirt, pet stains, and fluid spills. Based on kind of area rug, it will be washed by means of extraction equipment on both sides or cleaned in a wash pit designed especially for Oriental Rugs.
Step 6: Shampoo
Most carpets are cleaned with an Oriental Rug Shampoo which is especially designed to get maximum cleaning. This method is done after washing and rinsing the area rug. It makes the design sharper and takes out the loose wool from the oriental rug.
Step 7: Speed Dry
Once the soil is rinsed away, the rug is dried flat or hung to dry inside a controlled environment. Effective drying is crucial to refrain from unnatural shrinkage.
Step 8: Finishing
When the rug is dry, it will be combed and completed with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.

Barnegat Area Rugs Cleaning Tips
How to Care for your Oriental Rug
[wc_box color=”inverse” text_align=”left”]
Rotation – To guarantee even wear, your area rug needs to be rotated once a year. Based on the traffic, the rotation may vary from six months to two years.
Vacuuming – Oriental rugs, like most carpeting, should be vacuumed regularly to remove dust and restore life to the fibers. Be certain not to vacuum the fringe using your beater bar! Utilize the end of a vacuum hose from a canister vacuum.
Padding – A quality pad used under your rug helps protect it from dirt, wear, and slippage.
Spot and Spill Procedures – Make sure that you safely and immediately clean up spots and spills well before they set.
1. First, soak up the excess liquid by blotting with a clean absorbent material. Don’t brush or rub the stain.
2. Then spot-clean with a mild detergent-white vinegar-water solution. Do not over saturate.
3. Rinse area thoroughly with water and a tiny amount of vinegar. Refrain from wetting the rug’s backing.
4. Blot dry until most of the moisture is absorbed.
5. Allow to air dry. A fan or cool hair dryer may be used to hasten the drying process.
