For natural leather and animal skin rugs we engage in a special dry cleaning. It’s is critical don’t wet it since the leather will break and start to get damaged. We dry clean the leather inside a special tumbling machine using a special powder. The powder contains a solvent which makes all the dirt come out and make the leather cosy and shiny. We work with a chip of wood that scrubs the leather and makes it shiny and clean. We dust the leather along with dry it. After drying it we perform a unique brush to get it fluffy.

Antique Rugs are usually made with vegetable dye. We utilize low PH shampoo to ensure the dye won’t bleed. Low PH protects the rug while cleaning. Antique rug cleaning is completed manually, with gentle hair brushes. We don’t like to put any equipment on top of an antique rug. The idea is to use a lot of shampoo and water for rinsing. After cleaning, the drying out process is fast, allowing the rug to become soft as well as the color radiant.

A Tufted oriental rug is generally made in India and china. In our own opinion, they’re using a terrible adhesive. The glue makes the rug scent of burn. When the carpet gets exposed to sun or ages, the glue gets dry and becomes a white powder. In cases like this, we greatly suggest take off the backing as well as glue. We switch it with a new adhesive and backing support that’s green. For Tufted rugs we offer a surface cleanse using a steam machine, 600 PSI of injecting steam in the fabric-based and then vacuuming it. Then we use a high PH cleaning agent.

How to Care for your Oriental Rug

[wc_box color=”inverse” text_align=”left”] Rotation ” To guarantee even wear, your rug should be rotated annually. Based on the traffic, the rotation can vary from six months to two years.
Vacuuming ” Oriental rugs, like carpeting, must be vacuumed on a regular basis to eliminate dirt and and bring life to fibers. Be certain not to vacuum the fringe with your beater bar! Utilize the end of a vacuum hose from a canister vacuum.
Padding ” A high quality pad used beneath your rug helps protect it from dirt, wear, and slippage.
Spot and Spill Procedures ” Make sure that you safely and right away clean up spots and spills well before they set.
1. First, absorb the excess liquid by blotting with a clean absorbent material. Don’t brush or rub the stain.
2. Then spot-clean using a mild detergent-white vinegar-water solution. Never over saturate.
3. Rinse area thoroughly with water plus a tiny amount of vinegar. Avoid wetting the rug’s backing.

The History of Bergen Point, NJ:

Bergen Point is a point of land that lends its name to the adjacent neighborhood in Bayonne in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States.

The point is located on the north side of Kill van Kull at Newark Bay. It is the section of the city closest to the Bayonne Bridge. Historically the term has been used more broadly as synonymous with Constable Hook, from which it is geographically separated at Port Johnson.

The area was connected to Staten Island with a ferry as early as the late 17th century, and was later developed as a resort. In the late 18th century it become more prominent as a ferry landing for travellers between New York and Philadelphia. The Bergen Point Lighthouse, built offshore in 1849, was demolished and replaced with a skeletal tower in the mid 20th century. A charter was granted for the construction of The Jersey City and Bergen Point Plank Road in 1851.

Governor of New Jersey Jon Corzine announced on May 6, 2006, that funding was in place to extend the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system to Eighth Street. Work was completed and the station opened in January 2011.

A large portion of the point was once site of a Texaco plant, which was cleared and is slated to become a residential and recreational area along Newark Bay and Kill Van Kull.
