Clean Rug Port Reading

9 Steps Area Rug Cleaning Port Reading NJ 07064

Step 1: Pre-Inspection and Pick Up in Port Reading
We will establish as much as we possibly can about the kind of area rug and built in characteristics that may affect cleaning methods. We will outline the expected results and cleaning “prescription”. We will come in to your home to pick up your area rug.

Step 2: Dry Soil Removal – Dusting
Woven rugs, particularly hand knotted rugs, are designed to conceal dry soil. Some years back, the Eureka company did a study and found that a 9 x 12 could hide 87 pounds of dirt! WOW! We work with a variety of strategies to “dust” the rugs from the front and back. A machine called a pile lifter, special vacuum attachments, and many other techniques are executed. This is the most important step in cleaning any fabric. We have three kinds of dusting machines. 1. Tumbling, 2.Beater, which beats on the reverse of the carpet, 3. Hand made beater.

Step 3: Pre-Condition
Preconditioning is applied to break down traffic area soil and general spots as well as to ready your rug for best soil removal. First Class Rug Cleaning uses SPECIAL cleaning products. These products don’t contain fragrances, VOC’s, solvents, phosphates, or any dangerous products. They are biodegradable and ecologically secure. The pre-conditioner is also deep cleaned into the face pile.

Step 4: Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation
Any spots and fringe will be pre-treated with special solutions to increase chances of removal. Cotton backing and fringe contains natural lignin dye in it. This brown dye may bleed out in the rug cleaning and drying procedure. The fringe is typically pre-treated for maximum soil removal.

Step 5: Soaking, Rinse or Wash
Soaking is one of the most important processes a rug can go through. By immersing the area rug, we can eliminate dirt, pet stains, and liquid stains. Dependant on the type of area rug, it will be washed with extraction equipment on both sides or washed in a wash pit designed especially for Oriental Rugs.

Step 6: Shampoo
Most rugs are cleaned with an Oriental Rug Shampoo which is especially designed to get optimum cleaning. This method is done after washing and rinsing the rug. It gets the design sharper and removes the loose wool from the area rug.

Step 7: Speed Dry
When the soil is rinsed away, the carpet is dried flat or hung to dry inside a controlled environment. Effective drying is essential to refrain from unnatural shrinkage.

Step 8: Finishing
When the oriental rug is dry, it is combed and finished with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.

Step 9: Post Inspection and Delivery
Our cleaning specialist will provide the area rug a last inspection and release it for delivery. Your rug is going to be covered with brown craft paper to shield it from dirt and environmental soils until it is delivered. Upon delivery, we’ll position the area rug for you personally.[wc_divider style=”solid” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

Port Reading Area Rugs Cleaning Tips

How to Care for your Oriental Rug

[wc_box color=”inverse” text_align=”left”] Rotation – To insure even wear, your rug should be rotated annually. Based on the traffic, the rotation may vary from six months to two years.
Vacuuming – Oriental rugs, like most carpeting, must be vacuumed on a regular basis to remove grime and and bring life to fibers. Be sure to not vacuum the fringe with your beater bar! Use the end of a vacuum hose from a canister vacuum.
Padding – A high quality pad used beneath your rug helps shield it from dirt, wear, and slippage.
Spot and Spill Procedures – Be sure that you safely and right away cleanse spots and spills before they set.
1. First, soak up the excess liquid by blotting using a clean absorbent material. Do not brush or rub the stain.
2. Then spot-clean with a mild detergent-white vinegar-water solution. Do not over wet.
3. Rinse area thoroughly with water plus a tiny amount of vinegar. Avoid wetting the rug’s backing.
4. Blot dry until the majority of the moisture has been absorbed.
5. Let it air dry. A fan or cool hair dryer may be used to hasten the drying process.
