First Class Tile and Grout Cleaning provides professional services which are designed to deep clean grout lines and keep them from getting dirty again. Granite Maintenance and Repair Keansburg

Cleaning Bathroom Floor Tile Grout Keansburg NJGranite doesn’t have an acid sensitivity as the calcareous natural stone like marble, limestone and travertine have. We oftentimes still use alkaline cleaning products on granite because of the fact that alkaline cleaners emulsify dirt quicker than acids. If the granite floor has a sanded grout component, we often will clean the tile with an alkaline solution and after that follow up with a second step-in the cleaning procedure.

We will use an acid to clean the grout when it is deemed safe and essential to get stains within the grout to release. We then use an industry accepted spinner tool which provides pressure coupled with vacuum for extraction. This method also removes dirt from the top of your grout lines. This is the industry recommended method to clean granite and tile floors.

Granite floors require a maintenance plan to keep them appearing as good as possible. This will likely contains dry dust mopping on a daily basis using a clean rayon mop or static pad. Vacuum-cleaning with a hard surface vacuum will also work. This is to eliminate the dirt and debris that builds up on your floor because of foot traffic, family pets etc.

It is very important remove this dirt because wet mopping is also necessary at least on a weekly basis. If the dirt and debris that accumulates is allowed to stay on the floor, when damp mopping takes place, that dirt is turned to mud and is pushed into the grout lines by the mop. This makes your grout lines dirty very fast. When damp mopping with soap, rinsing will be required. After mopping with any soap solution, use a different clean mop, and go over the area over again with clean water.

Often these floors do not need the same care from abrasion and etching as a marble, travertine or limestone floors, they do will have to be polished now and again. It’s important to follow the rinsing techniques explained above because whenever a soap film builds up on granite, it cuts down on the polished appearance, and can make it look dull. That dullness is removed with proper cleaning. For this reason, we advise cleaning your Keansburg granite floors annually.[wc_divider style=”solid” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

Most surfaces have not been appropriately sealed, if at all. Hard surfaces which are unsealed or are sealed with low quality sealants can be a sponge for oil, food or beverage spills, which can result in long-lasting staining.

Effective sealing can and will result in easier care. This would protect your hard-surface investments, so you can take better care of them, while adding beauty and value to your residence.

Did you know?

  • Vinegar and ammonia can damage nearly all sealers?
  • Most contractors don’t seal the surfaces they install?
  • A lot of floor cleaning solutions leave a residue which could inhibit sealers and attract soil faster?

In this fact filled consumer’s message you will learn how to effectively maintain your hard surfaces.
So, let’s get started!

[wc_divider style=”solid” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

HARD SURFACE STAIN PROTECTION AND REPELLENCY TESTS

Listed here is a simple water based stain protection test you can do in your own home:

  1. Take a spoonful of water and pour it on the hard surface you wish to check, as well as any grout
  2. Wait about fifteen minutes
  3. Visual Examination: Has the water absorb? Does the color change?
  4. Using a clean white absorbent towel, ‘dab’ the excess wetness.
  5. Touch Testing: Does the tile or grout feel moist? Does moisture still feel evident?

When you answered yes to any of these questions, your hard surfaces are not sealed properly as well as are vulnerable to staining. Give us a call to talk about proper sealing applications.

Most tile contractors do not seal off the surfaces they install for a variety of reasons. The main reason is that it can’t be done up until at least 3 days following installation, which means they’d have to come back. A good number contractors don’t offer a protection service so they don’t even explain to customers of the value of this process. That being said, the benefits of sealing are obvious. There are a number of sealants available to the consumer through hardware stores, etc.

Unfortunately, they are inferior to sealers that a hard surface professional would use. Some need repeating application, some are too easily ‘washed’ off by general maintenance products, as well as some just protect against water based stain, leaving your floor vulnerable.

Still when you use the very best sealers offered, lacking a solid understanding of the solutions and the type of surface you will be sealing, you still won’t have a properly sealed floor. Only specific training as well as years of experience can give you the knowledge necessary to obtain maximum protection for your hard-surfaces.

Sealed surfaces don’t allow penetration of liquids that can become permanent. Protect your hard surface areas today for a small fraction of the cost of replacement. You won’t be regretful![wc_divider style=”solid” line=”single” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=””]

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Cleaning Hard Surfaces

[wc_box color=”inverse” text_align=”left”]Q: We have been informed that bleaching the grout line will make them look whiter? Are these claims true?
A: Bleach is going to make them lighter, however you may need to consult with the grout maker prior to starting, to ensure the color wasn’t dyed, or bleach will certainly eliminate the color.

Q: I have what seems like water stain on the tiles at my kitchen floor, what can they be and also just how could i remove them?
A: So called “water” stains might be several different things, depending on particular tile you’ve. Many time, water or mineral can be removed with polishing with honing powders and a hog hair pad or by using specific acid cleaners. Please DO NOT attempt either of these without proper training, as you can permanently damage the tile. To get rid of these stains perhaps it is essential to talk to a professional.

Q: I bought a ‘steamer’ to clean my tile & grout floors with. It truly works pretty well, but some of the grout line is cracking? What could I do?
A: 1st, stop all ‘steaming’ til you have the grout repaired. Water that gets in between your tile and subfloor is going to be caught beneath your tile and grout tending to expand and loosen tile from the concrete or subfloor. Rinsing the floor is a wonderful thing, BUT, you really need choosing the right products to be certain that you’re not damaging the sealer.

Q: How long will sealants last?
A: That relies on the sealer, the method of application, and the frequency and kind of care and maintenance. Your sealer may last from around 6 months to ten years or more.[/wc_box]

As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough’s population was 10,105, which represented a decline of 627 (-5.8%) from the 10,732 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 337 (-3.0%) from the 11,069 counted in the 1990 Census.
